What should I expect during the ID check for the OSCE exam?

1) How do I take an appointment for the ID check?
On the day of your OSCE, you can do ID check. If you are unable to do ID check on first exam day then you have to take an appointment to do ID check, After completing your NMC 2nd stage, email id.checks@nmc-uk.org with your OSCE exam date, exam centre, and PRN to request an ID check. Wait for 5-7 working days for a response. Once you receive it, reply with your preferred location and date, and NMC will schedule the appointment for you.

2) Is ID check possible on weekends?
ID checks are typically not available on weekends. If you go on a weekend, you have two options:
1: Leave your documents with the NMC: The NMC will process your ID check and send your documents to you via Royal Mail after verification.
2. Reschedule your ID check: You can make an appointment for another day during the week when an ID checker is available.

3) Can we do the ID check at any centre other than where we did the exam?
Yes, you can do the ID check at any approved centre other than your exam centre. When requesting the ID check, mention your preferred location and date in the email to NMC. They will guide you on how to proceed.

4) Do candidates have to take separate appointment to do Id check on resit day?
NMC has mailed candidates that they need to take appointment for the ID check, though they are appearing for the resit.

5) How many attempts for CBT & OSCE ?
The CBT and OSCE exams can be attempted only 3 times, and if they fail in all these attempts, they need to restart the NMC application again after 6 months, do all the NMC process from the beginning and sit for the CBT or OSCE after they receive the invitation from NMC.

6) How many days it will take to get PIN ?
After CBT, OSCE and ID check the NMC takes about a month to assess their application and if everything is okay, they start the process to give the PIN.

7) How long is the validity for CBT and OSCE?
The CBT and OSCE are both valid for 2 years each but if both of them are passed then together they are valid for 5 years
