How should I dress for the OSCE exam?

1) Will I get a uniform from the exam center?
No, uniforms will not be provided. Candidates are required to wear the appropriate attire and arrive dressed accordingly.


2) Is a changing room available at the OSCE exam centre?
Yes, Changing rooms are generally available at OSCE exam centres.


3) Can I wear care home uniform?
Nursing uniform required(Scrub). Care assistant uniform can’t be used.


4) Can I wear a long-sleeve inner under the scrub?
Wearing anything underneath the scrub is not permitted. However, if you have a specific requirement, you may seek prior permission from the assessor before the exam. Please follow their guidance accordingly.


5) Scrub is not available—can I wear a plain polo t-shirt for the OSCE?
Scrubs are the recommended attire for the OSCE. If a scrub is not available, you may wear a plain, modest, and professional-looking outfit, such as a plain polo t-shirt and trousers.


6) Is there any colour specification for the polo t-shirt in the OSCE exam?
It’s recommended to wear neutral or professional colours like white, navy blue, or light grey if you’re wearing a polo t-shirt instead of a scrub. Avoid bright or flashy colours, prints, or logos to maintain a professional appearance.


7) Is it allowed to wear a uniform with a logo for the OSCE exam?
No, uniforms with logos, branding, or any identifiable marks are generally not allowed for the OSCE exam.


8) Can I wear formal shoes with a visible logo for the OSCE exam?
Candidates are expected to wear black formal shoes that are clean and professional. If the shoes have any visible logos, please cover them to maintain a neutral and uniform appearance.
